Dipolog cops arrested suspect on R.A. 9165

Dipolog City – Dipolog Police Office conducted a buy bust operation and apprehended Gerlade Labadlabd y Dinaro,23 years old,single and a resident of Purok School zone,Upper Turno,here last June 24,2011 at around 11pm.

 

CAIDSOTF operatives composed of PO1 Reynan Saldariega and PO1 Jeffrey Loreto together with PDEA representative ROIX PO2 Gardito Ello Aninon and TM David personnel led by Engineer Silvestre Sabando under direct supervision and control of City director  PSupt Reynaldo Maclang.

 

Confiscated from the suspect possession and control were follows Four (4) pcs small transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu; One (1) pc Five Hundred Peso (500.00) bill bearing SN GD867284 as marked money; One (1) pc Empty Match Box EMI brand and one (1) pc Empty transparent plastic sachet

 

Likewise, One (1) pc small transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu was turned over to the arresting Police Officer by the poseur buyer as buy bust evidence.

 

Proper documentation and markings was done at said place and was witnessed by Mr Felix Rendoque of DOJ, Miss Zorayda Eva Mustaril from Media and Hon Maynard Baes, Barangay Chairman of Turno, Dipolog City. Suspects temporarily detained this Office for proper disposition while confiscated items/evidences were deposited this Office for court exhibits.

 

 

 

 

 

DENR 1st 4K National Convention,Isinagawa sa Koronadal-MARIZ REVALES

         

     Koronadal City -Magtatapos na ang tatlong araw na kauna-unahang K4 National Convention ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) na sinimulan noong nakalipas na Martes, Hunyo beinte-uno sa DENR XII function hall, lungsod Koronadal.

    

      Humigit kumulang sa animnapung (60) opisyal at permanent kawani ng DENR sa ibat't ibang rehiyon ng bansa ang dumalo sa naturang pagtitipon. Ang K4 ay nangangahulugan ng "Kalipunan ng mga Kawani sa Kagawaran ng Kalikasan".

   

      Nagpahayag naman ng suporta si DENR XII Regional Executive Director Alfredo S. Pascual upang maging matagumpay ang K4 sa mga layunin at programa nito.

           

      Samantala, sinabi rin ni K4 National President Atty Camilo Garcia na kailangan ang pakikipagtulungan at pagkakaisa nang sa gayon ay maging matatag ang relasyon at transaksyon ng DENR Management at ng employees union.

           

      Kaugnay pa rin sa gawain ng K4 National Convention, tumungo ang mga kalahok sa Lake Sebu, lalawigan ng Cotabato upang magtanim ng punong-kahoy. Ito ay pagtalima sa implementasyon ng National Greening Program (NGP) sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Aquino. Ang grupo ay magsasagawa rin ng Adopt-a- barangay Tree Planting Growing Project alinsunod sa National Greening Program sa buong kapuluan. Ang tema ng pagtitipon ay "Pagkakaisa para sa Kalikasan at Kalipunan".

VP BINAY TO ALUMNI: HELP U.P. YIELD MORE PATRIOTIC SCHOLARS

 

Vice President Jejomar C. Binay has called on his fellow University of the Philippines alumni awardees to take a proactive stance in helping the University produce more Filipino scholars committed to serving the country.

 

"As awardees, it becomes our solemn duty to do whatever it is within our individual and collective capacities to raise the State University's standards to the summit of universal               excellence," Binay said during a special dinner for awardees hosted by UP President Alfredo Pascual.

 

The Vice President noted that UP alumni could help the University "continue to produce an endless and a more abundant stream of Filipino scholars and patriots worthy of the highest aspirations and hopes of our people and country."

 

Binay has been chosen as the UP Alumni Association's (UPAA) Most Distinguished Alumus for 2011. The Vice President is set to accept his award on June 25, Saturday, at the Bahay ng Alumni in UP Diliman.

 

Binay will be joined by fellow awardees Jose "Pitoy" Moreno, who is being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award along with Dr. Baldomero Olivera., who discovered a snail toxin that is a thousand more times more powerful than morphine and renowned painter Araceli-Limcaco Dans and UP artist-in-residence Corazon Generoso-Iñigo among others.

 

"Henceforth, we shall no longer be judged only for what we used to be, but as the new symbols of excellence of the UP Alumni Association," Binay said to the awardees.

 

"Like it or not, we have just gained a new office, without having sought or aspired for it. And we must submit ourselves to the closest scrutiny of our peers, whom we do not even see," he added.

 

According to the UPAA, the Distinguished Alumni Awards are conferred on alumni who have contributed exceptionally to their chosen fields and whose actions have benefitted the society and have brought honor to the State University, their communities and their country.

 

This year's awardees have been chosen based on their contributions in public service and good governance, poverty alleviation and human development, peace and social cohesion, gender equality and women empowerment, community empowerment, environmental conservation and sustainable development, entrepreneurship and employment creation, institutional or corporate social responsibility, culture and the arts, science and technology and education and health.

Dipolog cops score anew on apprehension of wanted person-Mariz Revales and Ric Clet

       


 

Dipolog  City -  An ecapee of Zamboanga del Norte Provincial jail was arrested by Dipolog police office under the supervision  and control of Dipolog City  Chief of  Police Psupt Reynaldo Maclang.  

 

In his report to Provincial Police director, Maclang noted that at about 1:55 at dawn of June 18, 2011 a telephone call was received from a SG Joel Dela Cruz of Henrich Security Agency assisgned  at Daniche Warehouse located at Mabini St.Barra,here was allegedly entered by unidentified person who gained entrance by climbing the concreted wall.

 

Led by PI RICARDO LUBATON  responded the said report and successfully arrested and turned over to this Office a certain NORIEL GORIAS y Dingcol, of 23 yrs old and a resident of Piñalan,Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte  and recovered from his possession and control was one (1) case of coca - cola (1 liter size).

 

The said suspect now temporarily detained at this Office pending filing of formal complaint while confiscated items were deposited at police station for court exhibit and proper disposition.

 

During the verification of the suspect, it was learned that the said person was an   escapee of Zamboaga del Norte Provincial Jail, Don Jose Aguirre, Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte at  about  2 pm of June 17, 2011 under Criminal case number 16081 for frustrated Homicide.

High Explosives ammunition found-Mariz Revales

 

Datu Unsay Maguindanao- High Explosives and ammunitions recovered by the Joint elements of 45IB, 14 Mechanized Infantry Company, 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion, PA CIDG ARMM, PNP Provincial Police Office-Maguindanao and PNP Mamasapano on June 18 at about 8:00 o'clock in the evening while conducting law enforcement operation at Barangay Manungkaling, Mamasapano.

           

            Prior to the operation ,the unit received an information from a concerned citizens regarding the presence  of  armed men identified as Tommy Masukat and some other unidentified personalities at the visinity of the  warehouse marked with Department of Agriculture reportedly owned by a certain Akmad "Tato" Ampatuan, Vice-Mayor of Mamasapano, Maguindanao .

 

Hence,  the law enforcement team immediately proceeded to the area to issue warrant of arrest for Masukat and some other wanted personalities which is being reported, but the group withdrew, instead the law enforcement team discovered  inside the warehouse the Thirteen (13) rounds of 81mm of High Explosives (HE) Esperanza, Nine (9) rounds of 81mm (HE), Twelve (12) rounds of 57mm High Explosive Anti Thank (HEAT), Two (2) rounds of 90mm mortar and One hundred fifty five (155) rounds of Cal .50 Light Machine Gun (LMG).

 

At about 9:40 in the evening, 61EOD team went also in the area of recovery to inspect and recover the ammunitions.

 

At about 10:O'clock pm, the following recovered items were brought to the Headquarters of 1st Mechanized Infantry  Brigade, LAD, PA for inventory and proper disposition.

 

The peaceful recovery is a result of good cooperation and unity (Bayanihan) of the military, PNP, and other law enforcement agencies with the people in the community. The recovery of these war materials would eventually prevent other armed lawless group to convert these materials to IED's which eventually would be more distructive similar to what transpired in recent bombings.(with report from Capt. Another suspect in the November 2009 Maguindanao massacre has fallen into government hands, the commanding general of the Philippine Army said.

The arrest of Nasser Talib brought to 92 the total number of arrested suspects, while over 100 others remain at large.

According to a text message by Lt. Gen. Arturo Ortiz, Talib was apprehended by elements of the Army's 104th Brigade in Barangay Poblacion in Shariff Aguak town in Maguindanao province around 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Ortiz said Talib has been turned over to representatives of the Justice Department and will be promptly brought to Manila for proper court proceedings.

The high profile case is being handled by Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 221.

Two members of the prominent Ampatuan clan — Andal Sr. and Andal Jr. — have pleaded not guilty to the multiple murder charges against them. Fifty-six others have entered the same plea.

More than 100 other suspects remain at large, while other detained suspects including other Ampatuan scions, Rizaldy and Sajid, have yet to be arraigned pending the resolution of their respective motions in court. — RSJ, GMA News

Law enforcers discovered arms and ammunition -Ric Clet and Mariz Revales

 

 


 45IB, Brgy. Meta, Datu Unsay, Maguindanao – A joint Law Enforcement operations was conducted by the 1Mech Bde, 45th Infantry Battalion, 14th Mechanize Company, PNP Mamasapano and PNP Maguindanao discovered an arms and ammo cache at Brgy. Manungkaling, Mamasapano, Maguindanao. Today, 12 noon, June 11, 2011.

 

            The said operation was able to retrieve four (4) M16 rifles, six (6) Barrels of cal. 50 LMG, two (2) Barrels of cal. 30 LMG, two (2) Barrels of 7.62mm M60 LMG, Two (2) Bipod of 81mm mortar, One (1) barrel guard of Cal. 30 LMG , Eighty three (83) rounds of 81mm HE Esperanza, Twenty two (22) rounds of 81mm HE, Three (3) rounds of 81mm WP, One (1) round of 81mm Illum, Thirty seven (37) rounds of 60mm HE, Nineteen (19) rounds of 90mm HEAP, One (1) round of 90mm HEAP Canister and Three (3) rounds of 57mm HEAT.

 

            "With the large number of war materials of high explosives hidden anywhere, a single explosion would put so many civilian lives in danger.  The materials discovered were turned over to the proper authorities for safe keeping and were alleged to be part of the armaments held by the private armed group of the Ampatuan" in a press release sent by Captain Gerald Denniz Loneza, CMO Officer, 45IB, 5ID, PA

 

 

             The news released by the army says, the law enforcement operation was conducted with the support coming from the Local Government Officials of Mamasapano, the civilian populace living in the area and which have contributed on the discovery of said materials. This indicates that the Internal Peace and Security Plan (IPSP) known as "Bayanihan" is strongly supported by all stake holders to continuously create an environment conducive to sustainable development and; a just and lasting peace in the area. 6th ID supports "Operation Smiles"-RIC CLET/MARIZ REVALES

                                       

 

      Camp Siongco,Cotabato City – More than 200 cleft,/palate patients from South Central Mindanao will benefit in the five day medical outreach program dubbed as  "operation smile" to be conducted on June 7-June 11,2011 at Camp Siocon Station Hospital, Headquarters of the 6th Infantry Division  (6ID) here.

        Operation smile is a jointly activity of the 6th Infantry Division,Joint Special Operation Task Force Mindanao of the US Army and other partner –stakeholders such as Manila and Davao based plastic surgeons and anesthesiologists and Cotabato City based Non Govrnmeeent Organizations Junior Chamber International.

     "These free surgical operations on patients who have cleft lip/Palate aims to change the lives and restore the smiles of the patients after they will be undergone surgical operations. With the joy of the patients  their positive outlook  rebuild  their confidence" said LTC Col Noel Dela Cruz of the Civil –Military Office  (CMO).

       He added that this project is the command's humanitarian mission for the patients who are in need of immediate medical attention and  this is open to all local residents in Central Mindnao with such condition.

     Meanwhile, in an interview with Staff Sergeant Justin Stafford  of the US Army said that out of more than 200 screened patients only  65 were  scheduled for operation due to some medical procedures.

 

     Patients  who were screened age ranges from  6 months to 16 years  old came from the towns of Malabang,kapatagan, Balabagan  all of Lanao del Sur and Buldon,Matanog and Barira of Maguindanao province.  

 

     The humanitarian  mission also demonstrate the mutual and harmonious relationship among the AFP,US Army,Local Government Units,Non Organ izations and the Civil Society Organizations.

Two civilians nabbed for illegal possesion of firearms- RIC CLET and MARIZ REVALEZ

      

Datu Saber , Marawi City    The series of operations implemented  in the different areas in Lanao del Sur by the 65th Infantry (Stalwart) Battalion, 9th Infantry (Spear) Division, Philippine Army under the command of commanding officer Lt Col Siegred J Espina INF (GSC) PA based  at  Agus 1 Compound,  Barangay Datu Saber,  bespeaks the sincere performance  of their mandate to be real  protector of the people, thus, resulting to a confiscation of two (2) low powered fire arms at Barangay Lumbac Madaya, Marawi City and another at Barangay Poblacion Ingud, Tugaya, Lanao del Sur.

 Led by PFC Anora of the Alpha Company recently, while conducting a mobile checkpoint operation at Barangay Raya Madaya II and Lumbac Madaya, Marawi City which resulted to a confiscation of one caliber  45 colt pistol Bearing a Serial number 941877 with one magazine loaded with seven (7) live ammunitions from a certain Misron M. Burodan, 35 years old and a resident of Barangay Nuza Lumba Ranao, Balindong (Wato) Balindong.

Captain Orlando Gil C Marquez Jr, Civil-Miltary Officer (CMO) said that Burudan   made an arrangement to evade arrest by trying to persuade the arresting officer that he is a member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) which was later found out that Burudan is not an MILF.

In barangay Poblacion Ingud ,Tugaya town ,one caliber 45 Norinco 1911A1 pistol bearing  serial number 251839 with one magazine loaded with seven (7) live ammunitions was confiscated from Nashib H. Jamail, 20 years old and a resident of  Barangay kagayan, Tugaya, Lanao del Sur. The arresting team is under the command of Lt. Parale. The said firearms were turn over to the supply Officer of the 65th IB for safekeeping and for proper disposition while waiting for the charges to be filed in court against the offenders.

MARAWI CITY - Perseverance is another word for success following the two years of remarkable efforts under the new management of the Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LASURECO) to transform the constantly poor performing cooperative, its consumers are now benefiting the improved reliable and efficient services it offers.

These efforts were acknowledged by the National Electrification Administration (NEA).

NEA is a state-run agency mandated to monitor the performance of the Rural Electric
Cooperatives nationwide and during the EC Lumens Awards held on April 9, 2010 at Tagaytay Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City the five excellent performing electric cooperatives awards were given to LASURECO.

The five awards namely Special Citation for Attaining 100% Barangay Energization;
Special Citation for the Most Number of Barangays Energized for the Year, Model Headquarters Facilities Award (Mindanao), EC with the Highest Percentage Reduction in System Loss for the Year and EC with the Most Improved Corporate Image for 2009.

LASURECO General Manager, Sultan Ashary Maongco, also took home a Commendation awarded to a General Manager for exceptional performance for having transformed a perennial ailing EC into a Powering Excellent EC.

"We commend Team Lasureco for investing in enhancing the public image of the cooperative through institutionalization of member consumers, management restructuring, improved operational systems and procedures, excellent office layout and facilities and presentable officials and employees", said  NEA Administrator Edita S. Bueno.


"Lasureco has contributed much in the successful implementation of the Rural Electrification Program in the country. With the energization of 142 barangays in 2009, the most by an electric cooperative in one year, it has attained the 100% barangay electrification level. The availability of electricity in the Lasureco coverage area will help ensure the socio-economic uplift and in the maintenance of smooth peace and order situation," the Administrator added.



Team Lasureco took the challenge of rehabilitating the struggling EC. The team has employed strategies that included among others, teamwork, a holistic approach in the Integrated Rehabilitation Plan (IRP) designed to revitalize the coop for a period of three years and the organization of a Multi-Sectoral Interim Board of Directors composed of prominent personalities in the government, nongovernment organizations, traditional leaders and the academe, each representing a certain sector or organization or government official – all which resulted to the turnaround of the cooperative.
