Army reserved officer apprehends by CIDG,HPT for illegal possession of firearm in Iligan

Top of Form Bottom of Form Top of Form Top of Form                                        MARIZ REVALES  Iligan City - An army reserved office was apprehended while driving without a driver's license, no crash helmet and no permit to carry for his firearm by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and Highway Patrol Team (HPT) at the National Highway Kalubihon, Barangay Dalipuga, over the weekend here. The suspect was identified as Jonathan Laride y Acidre, 29 years old, single, a resident of Pigcarangan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte driving his motorcycle color silver, Honda XRM bearing a plate number KH 6569 without a driver's license, having no OR/CR, crash helmet, and a permit to carry for his firearm, no  memorandum receipt or mission order from the Philippine Army authorizing him to carry firearm when  was flagged down by HPT Chief Police Inspector Ibra J. Rajah and his men while conducting a checkpoint and implementing the No Plate, No Travel Policy and a violation of RA 4136.  CIDG Provincial officer Police Chief Inspector Napoleon L. Carpio said the confiscated items from Laride were one (1)  .45 Caliber pistol with serial number 496855, one (1) magazine with seven (7) live ammunitions. Laride and the confiscated items were immediately brought at the CIDG office for proper documentation. Violation of  PD 1866 as amended by RA 8294 against  the suspect was filed through the inquest CC Nr 15625.
